Last year, Lord & Son began construction on a new state-of-the-art Variable Height Tower for Air Force Materiel Command at Eglin Air Force Base, Fla. The platform tops out at 90 feet and its height can be raised and lowered in five foot increments. This will allow the Air Force to test the most advanced weapon systems in the world to defend our warfighters.

The tower will be utilized by the Air Force for weapons testing on the world-class Eglin reservation. Eglin is the largest military installation in the United States, covering nearly 500,000 acres — roughly the same size as the entire state of Rhode Island!

Throughout the past 40 years, Lord & Son has been relied upon by the military and Air Force to build dozens of projects at Eglin Air Force Base, Hurlburt Field, Tyndall Air Force Base, and many other installations.
